Get to Know Me

Ever since I was young all I have wanted to do is help people.  Having studied psychology and then going on to complete a Social Work post-graduate and a counselling post-graduate, I was able to fulfil this ambition and I have enjoyed an amazing career in social work and social care across both the public and this sector

However, having had my own experience of anxiety and overcoming it led me down a new path.  My passion lies supporting people to overcome barriers to better mental health and wellbeing which led me to setting up my private practice.  I want nothing more than to use all my 20 plus years of experience to help those who are suffering with anxiety, low mood, low self-confidence or self-esteem.  I would love to support you to overcome your anxiety and find a path to feeling more confident and able to handle whatever life might bring your way.

I am not just a therapist though -  I am a mum and a wife, I have two cats and a dog  (my beautiful cocker spaniel Amber - that I hope will be my therapet one day).  In my spare time I am a sports coach and I love spending time renovating our house and my newest pleasure is gardening - I always have a project on the go!  I am also dyslexic which I think makes me see the world just a little bit differently.

These are all the things that make me unique and I always aim to  bring all of me to the therapy room.
